Dalscone Pool

Dalscone is fished from the left bank and can be accessed from Dalscone Farm and following the path to the river. A boulder strewn glide flows from the Boy’s pool before deepening into Dalscone pool.  A groyne on the right bank holds the current out slightly from the right bank, but it is along the right side of the river that the main push of current is. Dalscone pool is a deep pool which fishes well along its length.  It fishes well for salmon and sea trout. At its tail, the A75 road bridge crosses the river.  The river then flows into a very short pool, which is always worth a throw or two, before heading down into the back o the woods.

Dalscone pool sits between the green markers.
