Riley’s Bank is best fished from the right hand bank, access is via Dalscone / Bloomfield and then crossing the A75 road bridge or walking downstream of Denholms. The stream which forms the pool is fished from the left bank. A strong run becomes a deep, steady long pool which is excellent for holding fish. The main current is along the left bank, which is a wooded flood embankment. Riley’s Bank is suitable for all methods. The pool fishes from low water to moderately high water. When Denholms wood is unfishable, Riley’s Bank often will still be in a fine condition.
Riley’s Bank sits between the green markers.
